1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using housevue.ca (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and HouseVue ("we", "us", or "our").

2. Description of Service

HouseVue is an informational real estate data platform that aggregates and displays publicly available Canadian real estate data, including sold prices, listing information, neighbourhood statistics, and market trends. HouseVue is not a licensed real estate brokerage and does not provide real estate, legal, financial, or investment advice.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. By registering, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. 4. Permitted Use

You may use the Platform for personal, non-commercial research purposes. You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Platform without our written permission.
  • Reproduce, redistribute, or resell any data or content from the Platform.
  • Use the Platform to build a competing product or service.
  • Attempt to circumvent any authentication, access control, or rate-limiting mechanism.
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or any content that violates applicable law.
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.

5. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

All real estate data on HouseVue is sourced from publicly available MLS records and third-party data providers. While we strive for accuracy, we make no representations or warranties regarding the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any data. Sold prices, valuations, and market statistics are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any real estate transaction. Always consult a licensed real estate professional.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including but not limited to the HouseVue name, logo, design, software, text, graphics, and data compilations — is owned by or licensed to HouseVue and protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our intellectual property without our prior written consent.

7. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site. Accessing third-party links is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HouseVue and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the greater of CAD $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HouseVue and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. [email protected].

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notifying registered users by email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
